We were delighted to welcome our President; Lady Angela Morgan to our AGM on 9 February. The main business of the meeting was to report our financial results and key activities for the period 1 August 2013 to 31 July 2014.
Following an independent audit by accountants Mitchell Charlesworth, we can report back that the charity made a surplus of £46,353 during the year. Many positive achievements in the classroom and in the wider community from services provided by both Greenbank College and Greenbank Sports Academy were also highlighted during the meeting.
As Greenbank’s Chairman Dr Alan Irving closed the event he congratulated all who had contributed to the charity stating;
“The local community is fortunate to have an organisation as unique and adventurous as Greenbank, always wanting the best for its students and service users and always trying to help people fulfil their dreams.
It is encouraging that the organisation’s financial position has improved from 2012/13 and I am very proud to be the chair of this wonderful organisation. Thanks to staff, volunteers and supporters for making these results possible.”
The meeting also appointed a new member to Greenbank’s Council of Management; Bill Shorthall and accepted the resignation of Dave Roberts. Thanks to Dave for his unstinting efforts on our behalf.
