A big thank you to Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) for releasing staff from their Paint Shop, for the past two and a half weeks.
Supervised by team leaders Ray Southern and Chris Oliver, approximately 27 production line operatives have completed a marathon list of jobs at Greenbank including clearing the cellars, painting classrooms, maintaining the gardens, building planters out of railway sleepers and paving.
Without the help of JLR it would have been impossible.
Greenbank Chief Executive Gerry Kinsella said:
“The lads have been fantastic, turning their hand to anything! All jobs have been completed professionally and efficiently and it is amazing what has been achieved in such a short time. The help and support of JLR is really appreciated.”
The team from JLR have also found the experience useful. Particular thanks to Kevin Wood, Paint Shop Area Manager and Jim Owens, Paint Shop Production Superintendent who arranged for staff to be released.
Jim Owens said:
“JLR is committed to helping the local community. Working with Greenbank has allowed the team to work together in a different way and produce results. It’s great to be able to offer support.”
