Driton Avdiu, an Associate at Deloitte’s Manchester Office has been training since he found out in January, that he had been offered Greenbank’s place in this year’s London Marathon.
He is confident that he will be able to complete the event – his first marathon – in a respectable time.
Driton said:
“I have been committed to my training programme and everything is on schedule for me to be able to complete the course in a decent time.
I’m looking forward to taking part – it’s something that I’ve always wanted to do and it’s a fantastic opportunity.
It’s also an honour to raise funds for a charity that provides support for disabled people.”
Greenbank’s Marketing Manager, Elizabeth Brocklehurst added:
“We really appreciate Driton’s support and commitment – completing a marathon is such a personal achievement and I’m delighted that Driton has chosen to combine a personal challenge with supporting our work.”
