Rodney Smith, currently a student in Greenbank College’s Business and Administration Department and a member of the Cycling Club based at the Academy, has known about the charity’s work for many years. He is impressed by the services on offer and decided he wanted to do something to help.
Rodney, who has a Visual Impairment, is a keen, experienced cyclist so he’s set himself the challenge to complete a sponsored 50 mile Liverpool Challenge. This is one of the routes organised as part of the Liverpool to Chester Bike Ride and due to take place on Sunday 3rd July
He commented:
“I enjoy setting myself and achieving challenges and this event offers a great opportunity to do this whilst raising money for a worthwhile cause.
I’ve developed lots of useful skills and met some lovely people at Greenbank and I just want to give something back.”
