Thanks to grants from The Rainford Trust and The Hemby Trust, we have been able to improve access to computers for students at Greenbank College this academic year.
It is vital for students that classroom resources are up to date and relevant, so that we can offer interesting and diverse lesson delivery.
Marketing Manager Elizabeth Brocklehurst commented:
“We rely on the help and support of local community through fundraising to purchase vital equipment so that we can deliver our services effectively. We are extremely grateful to The Rainford Trust and The Hemby Trust for helping us to improve computers at the College.”
Thomas Wilkinson currently studying GCSE Maths, described how the new computers have helped him as he works towards his qualification:
“I find it helpful for revision for example doing quizzes on websites like Skillswise and Bitesize.”
Tutor Ben Riley added:
“Using technology in the Maths classroom is excellent for revision, researching and general facilitation of learning.”
