Job Purpose
We are a busy multi-purpose Sports Academy with a Sports Hall that is used for an extensive range of sports & disability sports.
We have a gym open to the public 7 days a week & we have private spaces available for booking by external trainers or therapists.
We require a confident presence within our busy Academy who can respond to the constant needs of our varied customer base & your peers.
You will be working alongside the Sports Academy Receptionists, fellow sports leaders & a Senior Management Team within the Academy. We also work alongside Greenbank College so there will be opportunity to support volunteers & students that assist with the running of the Academy.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- To work alongside customers in all areas of the academy ensuring individual needs are catered for.
- Prepare the facilities and equipment, ensuring equipment is safe to use.
- Complete essential and routine cleaning across all of the leisure centre facility which includes sports hall, changing rooms, toilets, reception, fitness suite, PT suite, therapy suite and corridors. Also assist with and carry out non -routine cleaning tasks.
- Ensure delivery of a high standard of customer care.
- To participate in new member generation and member retention activities as part of the wider Sports Academy team.
- To take gym inductions, plan programmes and provide fitness advice and signposting.
- To undertake administrative duties and operate Sports Management booking software.
- Take customer bookings and payments.
- Ensure all equipment is maintained appropriately.
- To promote the facilities and sports activities to potential participants, parents, schools and organisations.
- To comply with Greenbank’s confidentiality policies & procedures.
- To comply with Greenbank’s Health and Safety & Safeguarding policies.
